HISTORY

Sycamore Creek Vineyards is an exquisite property and boutique winery set in the scenic hills just west of the charming towns of Morgan Hill and Gilroy. The vineyards are at the southern edge of the Santa Cruz Mountains in Uvas Valley surrounded by a picturesque background that allows a feeling of escape and relaxation while enjoying some of the Central Coast's most coveted and award winning wines.

Originally established at the turn of the 20th century as the Marchetti Ranch, a pre-prohibition family vineyard and winery, the property began buildingits wine reputation with Zinfandel and Carignane. Over the next several decades, the property went through several changes of ownership, but the property's biggest transformation came in 2005, when Sycamore Creek was purchased by Bill and Carolyn Holt of Morgan Hill.

Throughout the past decade, Bill's passion for agriculture has created an award winning winery with an impeccable reputation of producing high quality and unique, hand crafted wines including Viognier, Chardonnay, Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and bold Bordeaux style blends. Holt's vision and commitment has allowed Sycamore Creek to grow from a small, modest property into one of the most successful wine establishments not only in Morgan Hill but on the entire Central Coast.

Sycamore Creek Vineyards was purchased by Frank Leal in 2015 becoming the newest addition to the Leal Portfolio.
